Embed guide
Add a form to Wix
Add a hootform form to a Wix site with an Embed HTML element, in the page, using the snippet from your form's Share menu.

Where the snippet goes
Wix takes custom HTML through its Embed HTML element, which it runs inside a frame of its own.
- In the Wix Editor, choose Add, then Embed Code, then Embed HTML.
- Choose Code, paste the snippet from your form's Share menu, on the Embed tab, and update.
- Resize the element to the height you want the form to have, then publish.
Because Wix runs embedded HTML in its own frame, this guide covers forms in the page. A popup or slider would open inside that frame rather than over your whole page. For a form with a page to itself, link a Wix button to the form's own address.
If you'd rather not run a script, the Plain iframe option on the Embed tab gives a frame that works the same way in the page.
Tips
- Make the element tall enough for your longest question. The form scrolls inside it otherwise.
- On mobile, check the element's size in the Wix mobile editor too.

Questions people ask
Can a Wix button open the form as a popup?
Not through an Embed HTML element. Link the button to the form's own page, or keep the form in the page.
Does the form work on the Wix mobile site?
Yes. The form is responsive. Size the element in the mobile editor so a whole question fits.
Where are responses stored?
In hootform, where you can read, export and get notified about them.
