Search every answer, filter by any question, and narrow responses to a date range. The view lives in the link, so a teammate sees exactly what you see. Free on every plan.

A form that does well ends up with more responses than anyone can scroll through. The question stops being "what did people say?" and becomes "what did the people who scored us below seven say last month?" hootform answers that from the responses table itself, without exporting to a spreadsheet first.
How it works in hootform
Three controls sit above the table, and a response has to match all three:
- Search responses finds your words anywhere a respondent typed or picked them: text answers, the label of a choice, "Other" text, a file's name or a hidden field's value.
- Filters uses the same conditions as logic rules, such as "How likely are you to recommend us? is less than 7" or "Plan is Professional". Add as many as you need, and choose whether all or any must match.
- The date menu keeps today, the last 7, 30 or 90 days, or a custom range, in your own time zone.
Share a view as a link
Searches, filters and dates are kept in the page's address. Bookmark the view you check every Monday, or send the link to a teammate and they'll see the same responses. The CSV export takes the same filters, so what you download is what you're looking at.
Clean up as you go
Hide duplicates takes out the second copy when someone submits the same answers twice, and Hide possible spam takes out keyboard mashing. Neither deletes anything, so you can always look again.

Questions people ask
Is filtering responses free?
Yes. Search, filters and date ranges work on every plan, with unlimited responses. On Premium they also work on unfinished, partial responses.
Does search work on encrypted forms?
Partly. Text, choices, numbers and scores are searched as usual. Answers that identify someone, like emails and phone numbers, are sealed where the database can't read them, so search skips them and filters can only check whether they were answered. See encryption.
Can I filter by a hidden field?
Yes. Hidden fields appear in the filter list beside the questions, so you can see only the responses that came from one campaign.
Can I export only the filtered responses?
Yes. The CSV export uses whatever search, filters and dates are on.
