Why these questions

People register for a webinar because they want the answer to a question. This template finds out which question, and it opens by showing what they'll get: a two-minute trailer on a statement screen before anything is asked. Replace it with a clip of your own session.

Then the registration itself, in under a minute:

  • Name and an email for the joining link.
  • Company, optional, because asking for it as required puts off people signing up as individuals.
  • Role, from a short list with "Other". This is what lets you tune the session to the room, and route engaged prospects to sales afterwards.
  • Which sitting suits them: two times, or "I'll watch the recording". Offering the recording up front keeps people who can't make either time on your list.
  • What they'd like you to cover, optional and open. Read these before the session. They're the best source of talking points you'll get.
  • A consent checkbox for a calendar reminder and the recording, which records the exact wording they agreed to.

The template also records utm_source and utm_campaign as hidden fields. Put them on each promotion link and you'll see which channel filled the room.

Sending the joining link: the ending confirms on screen. Send the link itself with a webhook to your webinar or email tool. Closing registration: set a close condition for the start time, or a response limit if seats are capped.

Questions people ask

How do registrants get the webinar link?

Connect a webhook to your email or webinar tool, and it can send the link the moment someone registers. The form's ending tells them to check their inbox.

Can I close registration when the webinar starts?

Yes. Set the form to close at a date and time, with the time zone named, and it stops accepting registrations then.

Can I track which campaign each registration came from?

Yes. Add utm_source and utm_campaign to your promotion links. The template reads them from the link and stores them with each registration.

Can I embed the form on our event page?

Yes. Embed it inline on the page, or as a popup opened from a "Register" button.
