Question types
Date range
Two dates, a start and an end, for stays, trips, leave and availability.
"When would you like to stay?", "Which dates are you away?". A date range asks for both ends at once and checks they make sense together.
Settings

| Latest | The last day either end can be, if any. |
Both limits include the day itself, and apply to the start and the end.
What respondents see
Two date pickers side by side, for the start and the end. The start can't be after the end (they can be the same day, for a one-day range), and if one is filled in, so must the other be.
The answer
Stored as two dates, start first, each as YYYY-MM-DD.

"value": ["2026-10-03", "2026-10-07"]. - Encryption: always encrypted when the form is, and never sent to an AI model.
In logic
is answered and is not answered only. A range has two ends, so "is before" would have to pick one. To branch on a date, ask for it as a single Date.
