Question types
Link
A web address, such as a website, portfolio or social profile, always stored with https:// or http://.
Ask for a company website, a portfolio, a LinkedIn profile or a link to a document.
Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Placeholder | Grey text in the empty field. "https://" if you leave it blank. |
What respondents see
A single-line field that brings up the web-address keyboard on phones, without autocorrect. They can type example.com without the https://: it's added for them.
Only web links are accepted (http:// and https://). Anything else gets "Enter a valid link, like https://example.com."
The answer
The full link, always starting with https:// or http://, so it's safe to open from the dashboard or a spreadsheet.
- CSV, emails and webhooks: the link.
- Encryption: always encrypted when the form is, since a profile link can identify someone, and never sent to an AI model.
In logic
is, is not, contains, doesn't contain, is answered, is not answered. "Contains" can check for a site, such as linkedin.com.
