Question types
Number
A number, optionally between a minimum and a maximum, averaged in Insights.
For quantities, ages, budgets, team sizes: anything answered with a number.
Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Placeholder | Grey text in the empty field. |
| Minimum and Maximum | The lowest and highest number accepted, if any. |
| Personal data | Treat answers as identifying: encrypt them and leave them out of Insights and AI. |
What respondents see
A field that brings up the number keyboard on phones. Whole numbers and decimals are accepted. An answer outside your limits gets "Enter a number of at least…" or "…no greater than…".
The answer
Stored as a number.
- CSV and emails: the number.
- Webhooks:
"value": 42, a JSON number. - Insights (Premium): the Average, Lowest and Highest answer.
A number isn't encrypted unless you mark it as Personal data: a team size is harmless, but an age or a salary might identify someone. Marking it keeps it out of Insights and AI insights, since both need to read it.
In logic
is, is not, is less than, is greater than, is answered, is not answered. For example, send anyone whose budget is less than 1000 to a different set of plans.
